So I've been seeing pictures popping up of Jackson on the set of his film "Girlfriend", and I have to say, they only make me want to lick him more. It just isn't fair that all his hotness should be wasted; I think he deserves to be worshiped and licked and...well, you get the point.
Anyhoo...only 4 months until I get to see his sweet face in person again at TwiTours in San Francisco. Yay me!
So, Twi-tours will be in San Francisco in February, which is a hop, skip, and a jump from where I live, and yes, I fully plan on going. I'm hoping *crosses fingers* that 100 Monkey's will be there playing local venues since, so far, Jackson's slated to be a guest at the Twi-Tours event. If they are, you can bet your ass that I'm going to go see them play, and hopefully get a picture or another autograph; you can't have too many, right? In the meantime, how about a little Jackson sexiness to look at?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking, "What the fuck Dizzy? What happened to the last two days of TwiCon? Did you see Jackson and spontaneously combust? Did you actually try and jump Jackson and get your dumbass arrested?"
Well, the answer is simple and lame: my lappie took a crap at the hotel and I've since procatinated posting.
What sucks about my procrasitnation is that I now have shitloads I'm behind on posting! So, I'm just going to sum up my entire Twicon experience and post the remining pics.
There were many positives and negatives about my Twicon experience.
By far meeting my fellow fanfic'ers and the wonderful ladies I chat with everyday was the best experience of Twicon. I can't tell you how funny and nice everyone is in person. The Twilighted meet-up was awesome; I was completly starstruck by some of the great authors I got to meet. I know, they're no different then me, but seriously - Psymom, Twilightzoner, Jenwordsong, Ninapolitan - they're some of my favorite authors, how could I not be in awe? At least I didn't go all fangirl on them...okay, fine, maybe I fangirled Jenwordsong just a little, but she popped my fanfic cherry with her fic 'Die to Self' damn it! Anyhoo...
The breakout sessions were really good and mostly focused on fanfiction. I was a little dissappointed that they were all clumped into one day, and many of the sessions overlapped each other which sucked considering I wanted to attend more than the couple I was able to. The sessions I did attend were very insightful - "Fade to Black" which focused on the 'M' rating in fics (You know ladies, we call them lemons) and then "Who is Bella" which discussed the different characterizations of Bella in the fandom. Funny story, I was actually heading to the 'Crackfic' panel session when I accidently ended up in the 'Bella' session. I didn't want to be rude and walk out, so instead I stayed thinking I was going to suffer through a discussion on Bella when I actually ended up really enjoying it. It ended up being my favorite panel!
The Volturi Ball was nice. Some of the costumes were amazing. People really put a lot of time and thought into what to wear and everyone looked beautiful. The Hillywood kids hosted the ball and the music was great; everyone was having a good time.
One of my biggest complaints was the unorganization of the event. The lines for everything were huge and uncontrolled, besides the breakout sessions and the Ball, nothing started on time - including the actors Q&A and the breakfast chat with Jackson - which greatly reduced the time we had to see and listen to the actors. This obviously is a big downfall because let's face it, the actors is what we were mostly there for.
My biggest disappointment was that I didn't get my picture with Jackson. It is now well known that there were some volunteers who were just not up to par on how to be professional as was the case with the photos. For some unknown reason, due to a brief lag in peeps coming to have their photo taken with the beloved Jackson, the volunteer made the decision to shut his photo session down 40 minutes early, thus I didn't get my pic taken. Was I ever fucking livid and I totally complained. I was apologized to and promised my money back, which two months later I've yet to receive. Apparently there was also an incident with Kellan's photo session, in which he was trying to mingle with the fans who paid for photos only to be scolded by the volunteer because he was wasting time. Per Twicon, some volunteers were relieved of duties and are not being asked back.
I definitely feel that the organization of the event lacked, however it was overall a pleasent experience and I give them a pass on the negative stuff since it was the first ever event. Everyone has growing pains, right?
So that's the long and the short of it. I definitely plan to go to the 2010 event...how could I not? It's in Vegas baby!
OMG!OMG!OMG!!! The concert tonight was fucking AWESOME! Mitch Hanson opened, then The National Rifle played and finally 100 Monkeys was up and lets just say I was more than impressed! Before I squeal over Jackson I want to say that 100 Monkeys is sooooo much better live; they really did rock the house! As for Jackson....fuuuuuuuuck.....he is SOOOOOO much more hot in the flesh and not nearly as tiny as I thought he was. He has the sexiest singing voice and not only did he sing and play guitar, he played drums too! I am SUCH a sucker for drummers so I was melting where I stood. When he said 'Fuck' it made me tingle! God, I'm even more in love than before now! LoL
In other non-concert news, the break-out sessions today were really good. I of course went to the fanfiction panels which were hilarious and enjoyable. The ladies of Twilighted are a really great and fun group of ladies that I'm glad I got to finally meet.
Tomorrow are the autograph and photograph sessions where I get to have my pic taken with Jackson & Billy Burke and I'm getting autographs from Peter and of course Jackson. Then it's off to the Masquerade ball! Can't wait!!!!
Today was full of awesomeness. It was the first official day of TwiCon and the registration lines were monsterous....fortunately it pays to have friends in high places and my Melooza (who was working registration) checked us in and pulled our badges without having to stand in a 3-hour line. I was completely starstruck when I got to meet some of my favorite fanfic authors, includingPurdueliz (my roomie), Ninapolitan, Hammondgirl & Sin and Shame who were absolutely a fucktabulous group of women who I had the pleasure of going out for drinks with. I also got to meet qjmom, jenwordsong (who popped my fanfic cherry with her fic Die to Self), admittedly obsessed, texbelle & vgjm who were all very nice and who also had me starstruck.
Not a whole lot happening TwiCon-wise today other than checking in and the vendor stations where I spent a good $150 today. Yes people, I now own four more Twi-shirts to add to my collection, a full set of Twilight trading cards, a 100 Monkeys CD and a couple other odds & ends...and this is only to start. Looking forward to a full day of events tomorrow, especially the fanfiction panels.
Howdy from The Sheraton in Dallas, headquarters of the first annual TwiCon event. There are craploads of Twigirls here already in all forms of Twilight themed attire...even me sportin' my Midnight Desire by Twilightzoner t-shirt. I'm so excited for kickoff tomorrow. Look for my posts tomorrow and in the next few days on all things TwiCon.
One week!!! One week!!! Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!!! I'm so excited it's hard to stop myself from packing tonight and I wonder how many Twilight shirts I can wear in a four day period...I own seven and plan on buying more at TwiCon. I can't wait to see the cast and meet some of my online ff friends! *squeeeeeeeeeee*
Soooo...My plan is to have my story banner printed so I can have Peter sign it, since my main character is based of Carlisle who is played by Peter in the movie.
I haven't decided what I'll have Jackson sign yet but I was thinking my Twilight book since my boob isn't an option that security will allow. ;)
So I had the pleasure of meeting my Melooza in RL two weeks ago and her beautiful family. And can I just say I love her as much in person? She was in San Francisco with the in-laws and we arranged to meet in Ghiradelli Square. Oddly enough, we ended up meeting in the bathroom!! I decided to wash my hands before we met up and was standing next to a girl at the sink who was also washing her hands. We bonded in the bathroom when a little boy who had been brought in by his mother, yelled out "I have a penis!". We laughed together and commented on how great that was, and at this point we didn't even know we were each other. She left the bathroom and I followed, busting out the cell to call 'Mel'. I about died when the girl from the bathroom answered! We were meant to be friends! Oh, and I just have to say her wee one is absolutely adorable and I'm so excited she's baking a TwiBaby now too! I get to baby shop!! Love you Mel and I can't wait to see you again at TwiCon, we're all going to rock the house!

Jackson Rathbone is a triple threat. An amazing actor, singer, and writer. Women can only imagine what Jackson might be looking for in a woman. Some might think that any woman he might take a second look at would have to be drop dead gorgeous. Wrong. Jackson opens up about his favorite features about women, dating advice, and how to seal the deal for a second date with him!
Gabrielle: What are qualities you look for in women?
Jackson: I look for a woman with a sincere smile and a love of the arts. I love being able to go out on crazy dates, like breaking into zoos after hours, so a woman who has a sense of adventure... but I also love a calm night of jamming on a beach at midnight with a bonfire, whiskey, and friends... so a woman who can hang in any situation and not get too clingy if I'm playing some music and spending time with my friends and family.
GC: In your opinion, what do men really notice about women?
JR: The way she carries herself. Many times, my friends and I will notice a girl who is beautiful, but just looks miserable in her demeanor. It's a turn-off. Life's too short.
GC: What is your ideal first date?
JR: Well, I live with the band I'm in, 100 Monkeys (100monkeysmusic.com), so I like to take a girl out to dinner alone, go for a walk and chat, and then come back to our "Monkey House" to see if she can hang with my friends/bandmates. If she's cool to jam some tunes with us, shoot nerf guns at my bandmates' heads, or at least not get offended when I pick up a guitar... then I know there'll be a second date.
GC: What is a total deal-breaker?
JR: If a girl is involved with another guy. I don't believe in the ideology of "if it's a different area code, it's not cheating," I think that's more of an "idiot-ology." Too many times I've been hit on by a woman with a ring (engagement and/or wedding), and it disgusts me, to be frank. Even if a woman has a boyfriend she is about to break up with... to me, it's wrong. I won't even consider flirting with a woman unless she is completely single.
GC: What is your favorite feature about women?
JR: Everything. I am a lover, not a fighter. I don't fuss over the fine points, I just love it all.
GC: How important is personality versus looks?
JR: I find the way that a woman walks, talks, and carries herself is more important to me than the way she dresses or make herself up. I don't care how gorgeous she is if she knows it and shows it off too much; that woman is far too ostentatious and superficial for me. One of our band's first singles is called "Ugly Girl" (available on iTunes) and it's about a woman who sacrifices her personality for looks. To me, that makes any woman ugly.
GC: What's sexier: A woman in a little black dress and heels, or a woman in sweat pants and a tank top?
JR: Depends what time of day. And where.
GC: In your opinion, what is the most important part of a relationship?
JR: Selflessness, honesty, and a healthy sexual attraction. I believe a sort of feral instinct takes place in any relationship that works... a sort of "pheromone cupid" strikes, if you will.(Note from Dizzy: Guh, really? *drools*) From there, it's all about keeping it honest and selfless. It takes two to tango, right?
GC: What is the worst dating advice you have ever taken?
JR: "Say whatever she wants to hear." I forgot who told me that, but it's complete bull-shenanigans. Trying to be what she wants is a terrible idea. I try to find a woman who I can be myself around, and who can be herself around me. I hate when relationships change people, but it happens... sometimes for good and sometimes for bad, but when two people fall in love and are still the same people, that's true love. In my humble opinion.
GC: What first grabs your attention about a woman?
JR: Her eyes and her smile.
GC: Do you have any kind of hygiene regimen in the morning? Anything special you use on your skin, hair, etc?
JR: Haha! Nope. Just soap and water... I also brush my teeth with toothpaste, use deodorant, and I, occasionally, will shave.
GC: Do you prefer women with makeup or natural?
JR: Natural, mostly, but I've been known to be extremely attracted to the punk rock look. Though sometimes, it's a little too much and you can't tell how a woman will look when she wakes up; it's really about whatever makeup makes her feel more like herself and more comfortable with who she is, not the other way around. In other words, a woman who defines her makeup and doesn't let the makeup define her.
Blonde or Brunette? ---You forgot redhead. Tall or Petite? ---In the words of Goldilocks, "just right." Favorite eye color? ---I'm color deficient... I like eyes that smile. Short hair or long hair? --- I don't have a preference, I guess... I've dated women with haircuts much shorter than my own and women with hair long enough to lasso the moon.
*jumps up and down* I'm SO excited - the TwiCon website just announced photograph and autograph sessions with the actors!!! I actually get to pay to get within kidna...I mean touching distance of Jackson! *googles love potion recipe*

'Operation Lick Jackson's Tattoo' came about in the forums one day when me, Mel (who is the my future partner in crime at TwiCon) and the other girls were discussing and formulating a plan - hypothetically of course (*giggles evily*) - for me to tackle, tie-up, blindfold and molest Jackson...repeatedly...at TwiCon. Of course, my fellow Jackson lovers spoke up and wanted a piece of the action. The more the kinkier...uh, I mean the merrier, I say, plus it will be easier to tie him up if I have help holding him down anyway. Sure, there may be some kicking and screaming initially, but nothing that a ball gag won't take care of. Besides, once he's been pleasured beyond comprehension over and over again by us ladies, I'm sure he won't mind. ;)
The trick will be how to fold him into my suitcase so I can fly him home with me, after we make a plaster cast of his luscious....*ahem*....anyway.... Of course if someone is willing to volunteer to drive me back to California from Dallas it might make the smuggling a little easier...any takers???
This blog will not only be a shrine to Jackson, but will chronicle the journey to TwiCon, as well as the convention itself.
And Jackson, if you're reading, don't worry baby, mama will take good care of you. I don't bite...much.

So while at TwiCon, they will be having a Masquerade Ball which I've been stressing over. Last weekend my friends Christy & Becky went dress shopping with me and I now have my outfit picked out for the ball (less the mask which I'll get at the end of the month). I love my shoes, they are Fuck-Hot! And yay me for dropping two dress sizes!!!
You can't tell in the pic, but the dress is a halter which my boobs look great in! Now I just need to stick to the gym everyday for the next two months!
<-----Yes, that's me, cheating on Jackson with Rob at the dvd release party I went to.
Well, if you already know me, then you know I'm shamelessly obsessed over Twilight and even more obsessed over Twilight Fanfiction.
It started when my sales partner decided to gift me the first book for my birthday last October. That was all it took; within a week I had all four books read and started with book one again! I was so obsessed, I couldn't get enough, and I was embarassed that I was a 34 year old mom pining over a young adult book series. It was like my dirty little secret.
After finishing the books a second time, I needed more, so I searched SM's website for her outtakes. On her website she mentioned fanfiction and I thought, what the hell is that and where do I find it, so I popped up my ever present friend, google, and searched for fanfiction. The first link I clicked on wasTwilighted.net and was I ever happy to find that there were women my age, just as obsessed as me and who happend to share my dirty mind. My first journey into the world of fanfic was a little story called Die to Self which was an *ahem* alternate Honeymoon scene for Breaking Dawn. Talk about jaw drop.
Two months ago, my best friend Joanna called me up screaming...she had just finished reading Twilight and she was completely and totally overtaken by Obessive Cullen Disorder. It was the first book she ever finished all the way through and within a week, like me, she finished all four. I was so excited she finally caught up to me and we've spent many a night racking up large phone bills (she lives in Canada, me in California) squealing over Jackson and Rob like twelve year olds since.
One day at work she called me up to tell me she heard about TwiCon and she was practically in tears that she couldn't go. So me, being the spontaneous person I am, jumped online and bought us both tickets. YAY!
Not only am I going to TwiCon and will to see most of the actors from Twilight, but I also will have an oppotunity to meet some of the great ladies I've met in the forums, including Mel (my TwiTwin) who will be staying with me & Joanna.
Welcome! As you can see I am completely obsessed with Jackson Rathbone. And before you say it, yes I know he ten years younger than me. I will be posting here about my journey to Dallas for TwiCon where I fully plan to get in as much Jackson time as possible with the help of my partners in crime and roomies at TwiCon, Joanna & Mel! (TwiCon tickets - check, 100 Monkeys Tickets - check, Coffee Chat with Jackson tickets - check)
